paint lighting same orchid, different light sources -- Evelyn

PHOTO #1
I decided to try some night photos during the day, in my bathroom that doesn't have windows. It was fun to try the different paint lighting sources and getting different results.

Photo #1. This photo was taken against a wall, with a fluorescent white balance setting. I shined a small flashlight above the subject, moving it around, to eliminate a hard shadow.
Bulb, f/5, 3 sec, 100 iso, tripod.

Photo #2. I moved the orchid in front of the mirror to try to eliminate the "wall effect". I used a smaller pen light which didn't light up as much of the area.
Bulb, f/5.6, 4 sec, 100 iso, auto wb, tripod.

Photo #3. This same pen light had a red laser light option and here's the effect using that light. It seems to illuminate the orchid.
Bulb, f/5.6, 4 sec, 100 iso, auto wb, tripod.

  2. I really like the experimentation idea! Now to find a room without a window! You generally come up with great ideas!
