Paint with Light Part I

Paint with Light Part II
I had a lot of fun with this technique!! The one thing I liked about the first photo was the shadow of my pup running towards me. And in the seocnd photo I liked the way the photo showed the natural progression of the scene.... Plus I like  any photos with my "kids"!!
I used an external speedflash for all my photos. I did experiment with colored filters, but this was without any filter. I set my camera and remote trigger to Bulb so the shutter would stay open. I then used my remote trigger for the speedlight to take the flashes..and it kinda worked!!

Stars
I didn't get the traling stars but I was trying more to get just the brightness of the stars. I had the camea in Bulb mode as noted above. I strayed from the assignment for I was kinda having fun doing that playing with light experiment!! The over all exposure was probably close to 5 minutes. I ordered the Spyder Elite to calibrate my monitor since the photos looked different then on my TV....

  1. I agree about photo 1.. love the shadow of the pup running into the scene. This was very creative and colorful with the green grass. Enjoyable!
